A total of 130 Traditional Rulers from Ondo State has endorsed the re-election of Honourable Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as the Governor of the State ahead of the All Progressives Congress, party Primaries as well as the November, 2024 governorship election in the State.

The 130 Crown Obas announced their endorsement during a visit to the Governor in his office on Monday, describing him as the best candidate for the position.
The traditional rulers commended all the efforts of the Aiyedatiwa administration in the last 100 days, adding that the Governor has done well for the people of the State.
Governor Aiyedatiwa, in his response, appreciated the traditional rulers for their support and endorsement, assuring the Obas that their various demands were duly noted.
The Governor disclosed that the issue of allocating 5% of local government allocation for traditional rulers was already under consideration, promising to address it within a week.
He also expressed willingness to provide vehicles for traditional rulers in phases and agreed to place their staff directly under their authority.
Regarding the periodic upgrade of Obas, the Governor affirmed the administration’s commitment to reviewing and implementing upgrades as may be necessary.
