Reports has it that the decision to suspend him was made because he failed to properly and convincingly responds to the query issued him by the NUT National Executive Council leadership in Abuja.
However, information from the NEC of NUT has revealed that the State Chairman, Comrade Oke Emmanuel should step aside and his first Vice Chairman, Comrade Daodu Bamidele Olaitan should take over from him as the Ekiti State NUT Chairman till when proper investigation will be completed on the case.
Meanwhile efforts by Treasure Newspaper to get his reaction were not successful as at the time of filing this report as several calls made across to him was not answered as well as the message sent to his WhatsApp contact not replied to.
Reacting to his suspension, some members of the Nigeria Union Of Teachers in Ekiti State applauded the decision of the National Executive Council to do so.
In their own words, they stated thus: “Great lesson”, “After all, it wasn’t the people that elected him. What a shame!”, “It is a show of shame, I think some of us saw arrogance and unfaithfulness in this boy then. We cried aloud but our voice was not heard until we all regretted bringing him on board.Omode ole mo Ori (Eko) je ko ma rolowo. He keep on insulting people like we are his house boys. Giving him advice you are in trouble posting matters that concerns workers in Ekiti on the platform he will abused you, Telling you he is the number one Teacher in Ekiti and that he has the power to do whatever pleases him.Now the end has come to a confused opportunist who doesn’t know how to manage power”.
