Faseyi Replies Ayo Fayose, Says He Has No Shame

Senator Duro Faseyi, a former lawmaker who represented the Ekiti North Senatorial District and the Federal House of Representatives at the National Assembly in Abuja has given his own right of reply to the former Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State, who accused him of the inability to speak good English, and alleged that he Fayose was the one who brought him into politics, through which he became relevant politically, most especially when he was a Senator while appearing in a live interview Fayose granted at the Progress 100.5FM in Ado Ekiti on Sunday afternoon. 

Giving his own right of reply through a phone interview on Sunday evening, Senator Duro Faseyi described former Governor Ayo Fayose as a man with no shame, a serial debtor and a liar.

He described Ayo Fayose’s statement that he brought him, Duro Faseyi to politics in Ekiti State as a cheap talk. 

Clarifying things, Senator Duro Faseyi reminded Ayo Fayose that he has been a member of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Ekiti State ever before he Fayose came into the party.

Faseyi gives credence to Professor Tunde Adeniran, whom he said brought him into politics as well as to the People’s Democratic Party in Ekiti State.

Putting the records straight, Senator Duro Faseyi described Professor Tunde Adeniran as the only man who facilitated his entrance into politics, particularly, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP. 

He listed others to include the Late Chief Dayo Okondo, the Late Senator Olowoporoku and Chief Awoyelu.

He reminded Fayose that he Senator Duro Faseyi has been a founding member of the PDP in Ekiti State before he came distributing water to deceive the Ekiti electorates. 

“Before Fayose came and started distributing water, I was in the PDP already. We both contested together for positions in 2003. 

“When Fayose contested for the Governorship election in PDP, I Duro Faseyi also contested for the House of Representatives position. My own House of Representative election was first conducted before that of the Governorship election and I won

Reacting further, Faseyi accused Fayose of only using his own Governorship ambition to rake in money for himself  from other candidates contesting other  positions at the time. 

He however reminded Fayose how three of them; namely late Senator Olowoporoku, late Mama Akindahunsi and himself turned down the idea of them donating money for him to finance his own ambition in the same election they were equally candidates. 

He however warned former Governor Ayo Fayose never to say he was instrumental to how he joined politics, by using it to score cheap political point, in his attempt to win further, the heart of the incumbent Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

“My own only political father, who brought me into politics, up till today 

is Professor Tunde Adeniran”, Senator Duro Faseyi declares. 

On allegations by Fayose that, he Duro Faseyi lacks the ability to speak good English while he was a Senator, he berated him, saying, “if he is to talk or respond to Fayose, he will say he doesn’t know what he is saying.

He reminded Fayose not to forget too soon, that, “he Duro Faseyi was at the House of Representatives for 8 years, consecutively from the year 2003 to 2011. 

During the time, Duro Faseyi said “he was the Chairman, House Committee on Water Resources for the first four years. For the other four years, Faseyi said he was the Chairman, House Committee on Environment and Ecology. 

Also, for my stay at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly, Faseyi said, “he was the Chairman, Senate Committee on Air Force.

“In all, I spent 12 good years at the National Assembly, both Red and Green Chambers and throughout my stay, I was a Committee Chairman and no time that I was an ordinary member. 

“I had several opportunities to travelled out of the Country to represent Nigeria at so many International gatherings and I can boast enough that I did well. 

“The words of Fayose is not something that we can be reacting to. He is a fraudulent man. He is owing me money.

Fayose is a fraudster. I don’t talk to him again. He is owing me money”, he emphasized. 

“Fayose is not even a member of APC. Fayemi is there. Adebayo is there and some other leaders of the APC. Look at the level he has brought himself to, in the State.

“All Fayose is interested in, is to take money from Governor Oyebanji. That is why I will say he doesn’t have any shame.”, he submitted.
