Ekiti Governor, Oyebanji Receives Leadership Newspaper 2025 Year Award

The Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has on Thursday received the year 2025 Leadership Newspaper Award held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, the Country’s Federal Capital Territory.

Governor Oyebanji speaking through his Chief of Staff, Mr Niyi Adebayo who represented him at the event, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his transformative reforms and policies, which have empowered sub-national governments to implement impactful programmes that have impacted positively on the lives of the citizens. 

Adding, Governor Oyebanji described President Tinubu’s policies as the driving force behind his administration’s achievements and successes.

Governor Oyebanji further hailed President Tinubu for his reforms which has helped free up critical resources to States, and allowing States pursue their own development goals by ensuring effective delivery of democratic dividends to the people. 

Expressing his appreciation, Governor Oyebanji thanked the founder of Leadership Newspaper, Sam Nda-Isaiah, and the Management of the organization for the recognition, revealing that the honour is now a challenge to him to do more in delivering quality leadership and impactful policies in Ekiti State.

Present at the colorful event was also the Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who equally received her own Leadership Man of the Year Award at the event in recognition of her exceptional leadership role and empowerment programmes across different parts of the Country. 

Other award recipients at the event include, the Imo State Governor/ Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Senator Hope Uzodinma;  Nassarawa State Governor, Abdukahi Sule; Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani; the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu among others. 

Present at the event were former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan; former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Prof Habibat Adubiaro; Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun; Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr Adesola Gold Adedayo; Special Adviser on Tertiary Education, Prof Akeem Azeez; Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yinka Oyebode; Director General Community Communication, Mrs Mary Oso Omotoso; Chairmen of board and parastatals.
