The Chairman of the House of Representatives Primary Election Committee and Returning Officer for the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Mr. Ashipa Wasiu Adebanjo, today, May 17, 2026, has announced the results for the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primaries conducted across Ekiti State on May 16, 2026.
Fatoba, Karounwi, Okoro, Bamisile, Olanrewaju won the APC tickets in five of the state’s six federal constituencies, while Ekiti North I Federal Constituency — covering Oye and Ikole LGAs — awaits a decision from the APC National Working Committee (NWC) due to unresolved issues.

Ekiti Central I Federal Constituency:
Fatoba Steve Olusola won with 8,943 votes, defeating Ayodele Oluwafemi (4,122), Ogunle Epemitope (1,760), Olayinka Olayemi Daniel (1,589), and Ola Sunday Ebenezer (1,109). Ashipa declared Fatoba winner for meeting APC constitutional requirements and polling the highest votes.

Ekiti Central II Federal Constituency:
Oladapo Thomas Karounwi emerged victorious with 6,573 votes. Other aspirants were Omole (2,096), Olatunde Abiodun Oyetola (1,202), and Samuel Ebabatunde Ulusola (705). He was returned as the APC candidate after fulfilling party guidelines.

Ekiti South I Federal Constituency:
Okoro Toyin Zaccheaus clinched the ticket with 9,798 votes, well ahead of Rufus Adeni Ojuawo (1,842) and Olajide Idowu Alabi (1,395). He was declared winner for scoring the highest votes and meeting APC requirements.

Ekiti South II Federal Constituency:
Bamishile Olufemi Richard won with 4,379 votes. He defeated Phillip Adeolu (1,581), Adedayo Oluwasanmi (1,374), Samuel Febisola (1,185), Okuyiga Peju (1,032), Fakunda Bolarinwa (862), Olatunji Olasunkanmi (703), and Joseph Adeboye (585).

Ekiti North II Federal Constituency:
Olanrewaju Ibrahim Olakunle secured the ticket with 6,856 votes, beating Ayodeji Ayodele Dada (2,896), Kola Ole Akinlayo (2,102), and Omole Olushola Samson (1,322). He was declared winner after meeting party requirements.

Ekiti North I Federal Constituency: Result Withheld:
Ashipa told journalists that results for Ekiti North I, covering Oye and Ikole LGAs, would not be announced due to “pockets of crisis” in some voting areas that prevented conclusion of the exercise.

He said the matter now rests with the APC National Working Committee (NWC), which will decide whether to dispatch a new committee or direct the current one to complete the process. The committee, he added, would not exceed its mandate, especially with Senate primaries scheduled for May 18, 2026.
Ashipa urged party members and stakeholders in Oye and Ikole to await further directives from the NWC on completing the primary.
