APC Disowns Unauthorized Senatorial Primary Results

The National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress has cautioned party members and the general public against what it described as unauthorized announcements of senatorial direct primary election results across some states.

In a disclaimer issued by the Chief of Staff to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Abdulkareem Bala Kwali, the party said the announcements contravene the directive of the National Working Committee, NWC, which mandated that no senatorial primary result should be declared until it is formally reviewed, verified and approved by the committee.

The statement noted that the APC National Secretariat had observed the circulation of various results from different states, stressing that such outcomes do not represent the official position or final decision of the party.

The party therefore urged its faithful, stakeholders and members of the public to disregard any speculated or circulated results pending the conclusion of the verification process by the appropriate authorities.

The disclaimer, signed by the Chief of Staff to the National Chairman, Honourable Albukareem Bala Kwali, reaffirmed the commitment of the APC to a free, fair and credible electoral process, assuring that authentic results would be formally communicated at the end of the exercise.
