Ekiti Assembly Primaries: Affirmation Dominates as 9 Constituencies Hold Real Contests

Following the collation of results from the Ekiti State House of Assembly primaries, 17 out of 26 candidates has secured their tickets through affirmation, while the remaining 9 constituencies held competitive elections.

Among those reelected by affirmation were Bolaji Olagbaju and Adeoye Aribasoye.

In the contested races, the results were as follows:

Ekiti East 2: Ahmed Tajudeen Akingbade emerged winner with 2,025 votes. 

Ekiti East 1: Marcus Ayodeji polled 535 votes to win.

Ekiti West 1: Oladipupo Yinka Femi Monsurat scored 2,875 votes to defeat Kareem Agunbiade, who had 782 votes.  

Ekiti South West 1: Apolola Richard won with 1,620 votes against Adaramodu Kehinde Anthony, who polled 466 votes.

Ado 1: Adarabierin Ayodeji secured 4,190 votes, defeating Adegbite Ayodeji with 1,495 votes.  

Ilejemeje: Emmanuel Omolaja garnered 1,575 votes to beat Fasuyi Adenike Rachael, who had 559 votes.

Irepodun/Ifelodun 2: Chukwuma Fayose won with 3,220 votes, ahead of Ayodeji Hakeem Jamiu who scored 1,301 votes.  

Oye 1: Fabunmi Adetope Eyitope polled 1,400 votes, defeating Tope Longe with 465 votes and Mobolaji Johnson Fasuyi with 327 votes.

Ijero: Kole Ayeni clinched victory with 3,680 votes against Adefila Banji Sade, who polled 1,022 votes.  

Moba 2: Kekereawo Segun Mathew won with 1,955 votes, defeating Aina David Afolayan who got 683 votes.
