Disregard Accusations Of State-Sponsored Protest – Obaseki’s Aide

The Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Media Projects, Crusoe Osagie, has urged Edo people to disregard the recent statement by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, which raised a false alarm that the State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, is sponsoring a protest.

In a statement, Osagie said the Governor Obaseki as Chief Security Officer of Edo State is committed to the security and safety of his people and does not engage in actions that are self-destructive.

He noted, “The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State have again returned to their usual trade of deliberately concocting lies.

“We urge the good people of Edo State to disregard their recent statement which raised a false alarm that the Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, is sponsoring a protest.

“We are sure that Edo APC members are capable of such irrational behaviour, but Governor Obaseki as Chief Security Officer of Edo State is committed to the security and safety of his people and does not engage in actions that are self-destructive.”

The governor’s aide queried, “How can Obaseki who will suffer the greatest liability of a protest in his State sponsor same?”

Osagie further noted, “Only irrational and illogical sadists like the leadership of Edo APC in Edo State are capable of such behaviour.

“We call on Edo people and all Nigerians to totally disregard this allegation and go about their lawful activities without fear.
