Ekiti Youth Groups Hails Appointment Of Ijidale As Member Of Appointment Committee

Some Youth Groups in Ekiti State have hailed the appointment of Honourable Olalekan Ijidale as a member of the Appointment Committee recently constituted by the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.

The Youth groups, who spoke through their leaders used the opportunity to appreciate the Governor Oyebanji over the appointment of an Agbado-Ekiti-born entrepreneur and politician, Hon. Olalekan Ijidale as a member of the Appointment Committee.

The Youth Leaders affirmed that  government of Oyebanji has shown rare commitment to youth development since inception, saying the appointment of a youth into the Committee that will recommend people for appointment is indeed a confirmation that the youths are loved and recognized by the Governor.

One of the leaders of the groups,  Speaker, Ekiti State Youth Parliament, Toba Fatunla said that Governor Oyebanji is keeping to his promises, adding that the youths in the State are very happy with his giant strides.

He said: “It’s a privilege to have our own in that Special Committee more also that our representative is a credible one. Any government that want to succeed must give credence to youth development, we have the number and the strength and that is why I have emphasized that Oyebanji really mean business.

“This recognition is an indication that Oyebanji is heading for unprecedented success. I congratulate my brother, Hon. Ijidale and I am confident that he will represent us well.”

Also, the Youth Leader, Association of the Blind, Segun Bolarinwa appealed to the Committee to be truthful and ensure that they carry out the job with utmost diligence and sincerity.

In the same vein, the Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Agbado-Ekiti, Adebayo Oluwadare said youths in the community received the news of the appointment of Ijidale with excitement because he has been a very reliable and committed Youth.

He described ijidale as a youth leader per excellence who has always shown rare commitment to the development of Agbado and Ekiti State at large.

Similarly, the Youth leader in Agbado community, Odesanmi Adeola explained that Governor Oyebanji has shown high-level of commitment to excellence through the inclusion of youths in his government.

Also, the National President, Federation of Ekiti State Students Union, FESSU, Abel Adewale Ajibade expressed the belief that Ijidale being a member of the appointment Committee will ensure that more youths are given the opportunity to serve in the present government so as to use their energy to promote good governance.

Other youths who spoke with our correspondent affirmed that Ijidale’s appointment was well deserved because he was committed to the vision of Oyebanji and understands the dream of the Governor.

Speaking with reporters, Ijidale said that the news of his appointment into the committee came as a shock as he never saw it coming, saying that was an evidence that Governor Oyebanji is very sensitive to every sector.

According to Ijidale, “I’m humbled by the appointment and ready to do everything within my power to serve diligently so as to justify the confidence reposed in me.”

Ijidale promised to continue to promote the interest of youths and work for all that concerns the development of Ekiti state while appreciating Governor Oyebanji for giving him the opportunity with a promise not to let him down.
