The Ikere Ekiti All Progressives Congress, APC, stakeholders has hailed the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, and his Deputy Governor, Chief Mrs. Monisade Afuye for making the people of Ekiti State to be proud by changing the face of governance in the State in a way that has help to increased the confidence of the people towards their political leadership just as they have celebrated their 200 days in office.

The stakeholders said Governor Oyebanji’s phenomenal skills about inclusive governance and running of the masses-oriented programmes are gradually unlocking the economy and bringing prosperity to all Ekiti citizens, particularly those at the grassroots.
The body of eminent politicians, also saluted the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, for being a loyal and committed co-pilot to Governor Oyebanji, saying this has helped to lubricate all frictions in governance and enhance seamless execution of government’s policies in a more beneficial fashion.
The stakeholders, said these in a statement jointly signed, on Friday, during a visit to Mrs Afuye at the Deputy Governor’s Lodge In Ado Ekiti, in commemoration of the 200 days of the Biodun Oyebanji’s government in the saddle of governance.
The APC top brass used the occasion to discuss salient issues bordering on the development of the party in the local government vis-a-vis the state in general.
Those in attendance were: Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, former Deputy Governor, Surveyor Biodun Aluko, former Commissioner and Ex- Assembly Majority Leader, Pastor Kayode Babade, current assembly member representing Ikere constituency 2, Honourable Tunde Idowu, and the Deputy Chief of Staff, Honourable Victor Adeniyi.
Other roll calls included: Engineer Bimbo Ogundipe, Engineer Tunde Fakoyede, Professor Ayodele, the Local Government Chairmen, Party’s LG Chairmen, local governments’ women leaders, among others
Bigwig like Senator Tony Adeniyi, was absent from the parley, being one of the legal counsels defending the victory of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu before the Presidential Appeal Tribunal in Abuja, while Honourable Aladejebi traveled abroad, but sent their apologies to the stakeholders.
After exhaustive deliberation, the party leaders promised their unfliching support to the current government and pledged to redouble their efforts to unite all stakeholders and fortify the party and make it formidable to defeat the opposition in any election.
They commended the Ekiti electorate for voting Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the presidential poll and other APC state and national assembly members in the just concluded poll.
“Of particular reference, we salute the electorate in Ikere Ekiti for solidly backing their own, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye to deliver the two state constituencies to Governor Oyebanji and the APC in the just concluded poll.
“We are confident that just as Governor Oyebanji has not dashed the hope of Ekiti citizens, those elected under our party won’t fail to deliver the democratic dividends to the good people of the state”, the stakeholders ended.
