Chef Damilola Adeparusi Visits Ekiti NUJ Secretariat, Promises To Set Fresh Target Of 150 Hours Of Marathon Cooking

The Ekiti born Chef, Damilola Adeparusi has visited the Ekiti State Secretariat of the Nigeria Union Of Journalist, NUJ, in Ado Ekiti with a promise to set a fresh target of 150 hours of marathon cooking for herself in one month’s time.

Chef Damilola Adeparusi while addressing the men of the pen profession in Ado Ekiti on Friday afternoon made her intention known in a press conference held at the Nigeria Union of Journalist, NUJ,  Secretariat, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Damilola noted that the 120 hours cook-a-thon she did successfully was just an exercise, adding that she intends embarking on a fresh 150 hours which will be recognized by the Guinness World Record, GWR. 

According to her, “after the support I have received from fans and highly notable individuals in the society, I Adeparusi Damilola popularly known as Chef Dammy and my team have decided to hold another Cook-a-thon program next month. This time, it will be held for 150 hours and will be duly registered with the Guinness World Records”, she said.

“if given the chance to describe my greatest highlight in the whole cook-a-thon, I would state the fact, that my family and the Spirit Word Global Mission members were always motivating and inspiring me to continue and never give up”.

“My Pastor, Prophet Jeremiah Adegoke is my Manager as well as my major sponsor because the programme was fully funded by him and a few members of the Church. All I did was to cook and I want the public to know that Chef Dammy is open to explorations, new opportunities and new experiences of life”, she declared.

Welcoming the Ekiti born Chef, Damilola Adeparusi, and her entourage, the State Secretary of NUJ in Ekiti State, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi who stood in for the State Chairman of the NUJ in Ekiti State, Comrade Rotimi Ojomoyela, praised Damilola’s effort and resilient spirit to embark on the cooking marathon, and eulogized her for not just putting the State in the world map, but should ensure she brings the trophy back home through her fresh target for 150 hours.

Speaking further, he advised Chef Damilola Adeparusi and her team to always they make use of the conventional media outfits instead in whatever programmes they are doing instead of them only depending on the different social media handles.

Comrade Kayode Babatuyi, added, that Damilola Adeparusi’s team should always endeavor to take advise from the professionals in the media industry. He also caution her team members to be conscious of the type of advise they give to Chef Dammy as she plans ahead of carrying out her fresh target of 150 hours.
