Aiyedatiwa Floors Agboola, 12 Others In A Landslide Victory

The Incumbent Governor of Ondo State, Honourable Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has floored the former Deputy Governor of Ondo State and the Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, for the November 16th, 2024 governorship election in the State and 12 other political party candidates in a clear landslide victory.

Declaring the winner of the Ondo State Governorship Election, after concluding the collations of all the results from the 18 local government areas of the State, the State INEC Returning Officer and the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Lokoja, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi Durotimi declared Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as the winner having polled a total of 366,781 votes to defeat his closest rival, Ajayi Agboola who scored a total votes of 117,845. 

The candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Mr Nejo Adeyemi came distant third with a total of 4,138 votes.
