The Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, HRM, Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, AFUNTADE 1, has expressed his unhappiness over the continuous failed portion of Ilawe to Ado Ekiti road in Ekiti State to the Governor of the State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.

In a statement issued on Tuesday morning, and signed by his Media Adviser, High Chief Ajibade Olubunmi, and sent to the Treasure Newspaper, Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi urged Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to take decisive action to fix the failed portion of the Ilawe to Ado Ekiti road.

Speaking further, Oba Alabi also counselled the politicians in the State against involving themselves in the acts of thuggery.

Alawe also used the opportunity to make a strong appeal to Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji of Ekiti State to take an urgent action in repairing the caved in portion of Ado-Ilawe road that occurred four months ago which has brought agony to the people of the town and all motorists plying the route.

The Alawe made the appeal during a yearly get together Dinner organised by him for eminent Ilawe indigenes which took place inside the Alawe palace on Monday, 26th December, 2022.

While commending the state government for embarking on the repairs of the failed drainage in another area of the road, Oba Alabi urged the government to direct the site Contractor to immediately commence work on the big gulf which has become a death trap stressing that he has implicit confidence in Governor Biodun Oyebanji that he would take urgent action on the road.

On the forthcoming general elections, the frontline Monarch urged all politicians in Nigeria to avoid resorting to thuggery even as he advised politicians in his domain to stop unwarranted infighting which the Oba described as “Crab Mentality” which won’t benefit anyone.

While appraising developments in the outgoing year and reeling out projections for the new year 2023, Oba Alabi commended Ilawe people for their cooperation and urged them to continue the good work in the new year.

He congratulated the people for witnessing a merry Christmas and wished all a happy and prosperous 2023.
