Amotekun Exposes Fake NIN Official In Ekiti

The Ekiti State Amotekun Corps has exposed a fake NIN official in Ekiti State. 

According to a report made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Saturday through the Head of Communications Department, Officer Adeleye Abiodun Adewale, as directed by the Ekiti State Amotekun Commander, in person of Brigadier General Ibukunoluwa Adewa; one Tayo Ige, a native and indigene of Odo Emure, located along the First Bank road on Thursday, 6th of March, 2025; aged 26 years old has been grabbed by the Ise Ekiti Amotekun Operatives. 

During investigation, the operatives of the Amotekun Corps revealed that the suspect, Tayo Ige confessed to the alleged crime committed, adding that, he has been duping a large number of people in the town, after parading himself as an NIN Official. 

He however, narrated the tactics employed towards carrying out his deceptive mission, by always visit some areas in Emure-Ekiti with fake official materials of the National Identification Number (NIN) to cajole them.

The Amotekun Officer who effected his arrest further explained that, he was apprehended in the said town during a security patrol, adding that, he was immediately transferred to Amotekun Headquarters Command, and handed over to the management of the NIN in Ado-Ekiti for further investigation and necessary action.
