Amotekun Grabs 32 Years Old Man For Raping Teenager In Ekiti

A 32 years old man has been grabbed by the Ekiti State Amotekun Corps for Raping a 10 years old teenager in the State. 

The Ekiti State Amotekun Corps in a press release signed by its Head of Communication Department, Officer Adeleye Abiodun Adewale and made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Thursday, revealed that the Operatives of the Amotekun Corps in Are/Afao Local Council Development Authority Command, arrested the 32 years old man, Yakubu Maji who lives at Are/Afao-Ekiti and hailed from Kogi State on Monday, the 15th of September, 2024.

The Command’s Media Head narrating the situation, stated that the suspect raped a 10-year-old Abdullai llmu who is a native of Okene in Kogi State who  resides in Are/Afao Ekiti. 

According to the victim, she explained that she was sent on an errand by her mother during which she was raped by the suspect. 

Adding, the victim also explained that the incident occured in the suspect’s room after he induced her with money amounting to a sum of N300 by him. 

The rape victim also revealed that the suspect threatened her with a cutlass should she disclosed what happened to anyone.

However, the rape victim’s mother confessed that it was the second time her 10 years old girl would be raped by the same suspect.

The suspect has therefore been handed over to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Ekiti State police command in Ado-Ekiti for further investigation.
