My Dear Leader, Honourable Wole Oke,

1. I have chosen to address this matter publicly since all efforts to resolve it privately through mutual contacts have, regrettably, been unsuccessful. Particularly, the last leaders who met you and you declined stating you have even blocked me on the phone, even though I never took note of that.

2. I recently came across a message purportedly authorized by you and circulated in various WhatsApp groups. The message alleged that I initiated a petition against you to the ICPC regarding constituency projects, leading to ongoing investigations. This allegation is both surprising and disheartening, as it is not the first time I have been confronted with such claims by individuals who say you made these accusations.

3. Let me state this categorically: I did not write any petition against you to the ICPC, EFCC, or any other agency regarding constituency projects or any other matter. I have no reason to engage in such an action. If I ever had concerns warranting a petition or formal inquiry, I would pursue them openly and directly because I only take up matters I firmly believe in.

4. Hon. Wole Oke, I deeply respect your commendable service to our people for past twenty years as a legislator—a legacy that deserves preservation by all and cannot be tarnished.

5. You may recall that the closest I have ever come to discussing constituency projects was during a conversation we had. This conversation arose from a constituent’s post highlighting past project allocations. In your response, you explained that slots of these projects were often by ruling party leaders, mentioning two specific individuals from Ijebu. You also shared how you had personally funded several initiatives to ensure completion. I commended your efforts and you specifically told me to write to some agencies of government to verify the company or individuals behind the projects.

6. I know this hurtful allegations have been concocted to create artificial fight between us, and to give you reasons to go back on your PROMISE, have told me expressly to go ahead and contest for the House of Representatives, ORIADE/OBOKUN. I will therefore appeal to you to see beyond the plans of our enemies.

7. I understand that my ambition to contest for the House of Representatives for Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency has caused our paths to diverge. However, I must emphasize that my ambition is not a sign of disrespect toward you, it stems from a desire to contribute meaningfully to our constituency’s development. More importantly, you were the one who told me and expressly encouraged me to pursue the House of Representatives ambition and that you are with me in full.

8. You assured me, repeatedly, that the last election would be your final one for the House of Representatives. You told me you had served long enough and that many of your peers had moved on to other pursuits and I relied on your statements. You even entrusted me with a local structure to coordinate my consultations and introduced me to individuals like Egbon Femi Mercy, who you instructed me to rely on for guidance. It is only due to your heartfelt endorsement that I began consultations in earnest.

9. Unfortunately, I have since observed an unexpected shift in your stance. You have now turned against the very individuals you directed me to work with, creating conflict and division. This sudden reversal is both surprising and disappointing, especially given the trust I have placed in your guidance and the confidence I have in your words.

 10. I have also noted your recent remarks about being a “landlord” in Oriade/Obokun, a claim I fully concede. May your leadership endure, and may God grant you the strength to fulfill your promises to us all. While I have been privileged to have your support, it saddens me to see this unfolding conflict, which does not serve the best interests of our people.

11. Finally, I appeal to us to rise above these distractions and focus on supporting the performing Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Adeleke, to succeed in his mandate. His success is far greater than any of any ambition and it is ultimately what matters most to our constituency.

I am still very loyal sir and may your days be long.

Yours In Service,
