Anambra Murder Case: Police Recovers AK-47 Rifle As Suspect Escape

The Anambra State Police Command’s Rapid Response Squad Awkuzu has recovered a fabricated AK-47 rifle and magazine in an apartment at Umuike Village Police in Umuike Village, Awka. The rifle was linked to a murder investigation involving two male victims in Okochi Village, Okpuno, Awka South Local Government Area of the State.

According to the press statement by the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the principal suspect, Nwajagu, escaped from the scene upon sighting police operatives.

The Anambra State Police Command has however intensified efforts to apprehend the suspect and bring him to justice.

The command urges the public to remain calm and vigilant, providing any credible information that may aid the swift arrest of the suspect. With the firearm recovered, the police are optimistic about cracking the case and ensuring justice for the victims and their families.
