Anambra Police Command Strengthens Ties with Community through Media Engagement

The Anambra State Police Command, through the Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has taken a significant step towards enhancing police-public communication and deepening public trust. 

He visited Udala Radio Station 104.7fm in Onitsha on July 18, 2025, as part of ongoing strategic engagements with media platforms across the State.

During the live radio interaction, CP Orutugu addressed critical security concerns and discussed the command’s efforts to sustain peace and order across Anambra State. 

He emphasized the importance of proactive community participation in policing, timely information sharing, and reiterated the command’s commitment to transparency, professionalism, and accountability.

CP Orutugu stressed the need for residents to partner with the police in maintaining security and order in their communities. 

Also, he urged the residents of the State to remain vigilant and report suspicious movements and criminal elements to the authorities.

The Police command appreciates the support of the media in promoting security awareness and calls for continued collaboration to maintain a safer Anambra.

This engagement is part of the command’s efforts to build trust and foster a sense of community policing. By working together, the police and residents can create a safer and more secured environment for everyone in Anambra State.
