The Anambra State Police Command has deployed a heavy security presence across major parts of the state to ensure the safety of residents and visitors during the yuletide season.

Operatives were seen dominating strategic locations, including major highways, markets, worship centers, motor parks, and recreational centers, as social and economic activities peak during the festive period.
The Police Command through the office of the Public Relations headed by SP Ikenga Tochukwu said the move is aimed at preventing crime, maintaining public order, and reassuring residents of their safety as celebrations continue across the state.
To strengthen the operation, the eight area commanders in Anambra have stepped up supervision of personnel deployment within their respective areas of responsibility. The areas include Onitsha, Ihiala, Oraifite, Awka, Aguata, Otuocha, Ogidi, and Nnewi.
Tactical units and joint security teams have also intensified patrols and visibility operations, working together to respond swiftly to any security threats and ensure effective coordination in the field.

The Command urged members of the public to remain law-abiding and cooperative with security personnel while carrying out their daily activities.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, the Command remains fully committed to maintaining peace, safety, and order before, during, and after the festive celebrations.
The Anambra State Police Command further encouraged residents to celebrate without fear, assuring them that adequate security measures are in place across the state.
