Bishop Abe’s Death, A Glorious Exit – Gov Oyebanji

The Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has described the death of the retired Late Bishop of Ekiti Dioceses and Arch-Bishop of the Anglican Communion, Adedayo Abe as a glorious exit. 

The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji made the remarks while paying tribute to the late retired Bishop and Arch-Bishop, Adedayo Abe who dedicated his entire life to serving humanity at a Commendation Service held at the Cathedral Church of Emmanuel in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday. 

Speaking further at the Service, Governor Oyebanji reflects on Bishop Abe’s life, highlighting his humility, service to humanity, and contributions to the spiritual upliftment of the society.

He notes that the late Bishop was not only a servant of God but also a beacon of hope and inspiration to many in the State and beyond.

The Governor acknowledged that while Bishop Abe’s passing was painful, his life is a testament to unwavering faith and commitment to humanity. “He lived to a ripe age of 82 and serve God all his life”. 

In his homily, Retired Bishop of Igbomina Diocese, Most Rev Michael Akinyemi, described Bishop Abe as a true man of God, known for his faithfulness, accountability, and dedication to God’s work. 

He urged the congregation to emulate the late Bishop’s life of service, highlighting his remarkable compassion and selflessness.

He described the commendation service as a celebration of Bishop Abe’s life and legacies, and a reminder of the impacts he had on the lives of those around him.
