Bishop Ajakaye To Deliver Ekiti NUJ Media Lecture

The Bishop of Ekiti Catholic Diocese, Most Reverend Felix Ajakaye, is set to deliver the annual media lecture of the Ekiti State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

The lecture, themed “Surmounting the Challenges to the Role of Media as Real Catalyst for Positive and Concrete Change in Nigeria,” aims to inspire stakeholders to harness the power of media for national development.

The Media Summit, initiated by the Kayode Babatuyi-led Executive, is the second edition of the media gathering. 

It will hold at Sanni Abacha Hall, old Governor’s office, Ado Ekiti, by 10:00 am.

The event expects a diverse array of attendees, including journalists, political and religious leaders, security agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations, and other key stakeholders in the State.

The Secretary of the Union, O’Seun Ogunsakin, described the summit as an avenue for stakeholders across the state to meet and discuss the progress of the Country. 

The event provides a platform for stakeholders to converge, share ideas, and chart a way forward for the growth and development of the state and Nigeria at large.

Bishop Ajakaye’s lecture is anticipated to spark meaningful discussions on the role of media in driving positive change in Nigeria. With the theme of the lecture focusing on surmounting challenges to the role of media, it is expected that the event will provide valuable insights and recommendations for media practitioners and stakeholders.
