At the BOUESTI first Convocation Ceremony held on March 8, 2025, Salam Qulzum Omodolapo, the overall best graduating student, stole the show with her inspiring speech.

The ceremony marked a milestone in the institution’s history as Omodolapo’s achievement was the icing on the cake.
Omodolapo, who graduated with an impressive 4.82 CGPA, expressed her gratitude to the school’s Chancellor, Chief Wole Olanipekun; the Vice Chancellor, Professor Victor Adeoluwa, and most importantly, her parents.
She shared her struggles and worries during her university days, but emphasized the unwavering support of her family, particularly her mother, whom she described as the “best and strongest woman” who stood firmly behind her and her siblings.
The high-achieving graduate received a plethora of rewards for her hard work, including an automatic job opportunity after her NYSC, courtesy of the Governor of Ekiti, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.

Additionally, she also received a monetary gift and a scholarship to further her education courtesy of Chief Wole Olanipekun.
In her concluding remarks, Omodolapo encouraged her fellow graduates not to lose hope despite their present struggles and worries.
She reminded them that their bright future is just beginning and that better days are ahead. “With a hint of humor, she acknowledged that although she had aimed for a perfect 5.0 CGPA, she would “manage” her impressive 4.82 CGPA.
