The Oyo State Government under the leadership of the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has re-opened the locked Motor Parks which was locked up some days ago hours after a new Park Management System, PMS, Chairman was appointed on Sunday.

The Government of Oyo State, led by Governor Seyi Makinde made the above statement which was signed and sent to the Treasure Newspaper by his Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju late on Sunday evening.
Earlier on Sunday, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sulaimon Olanrewaju issued a press release informing the public that a new Chairman, Alhaji Tomiwa Omolewa and a new Secretary, Alhaji Kasali Ajisafe Lawal has been appointed to overseer the affairs of the Oyo State Park Management System, PMS.
Few hours after the first press release, the Government of Oyo State led by the Governor through his Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju issued a fresh statement ordering the re-opening of the Motor Parks in Oyo State, which had been under lock and key following the dissolution of the Parks Management System Disciplinary Committee led by Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi.
Sulaimon added that the composition of the new parks management team announced by the government on Sunday comprises of members from all the major factions in the Transport Union in Oyo State.
Sulaimon espoused further that, the state government in a bid to utilized the available opportunities in the Parks Management System, organized a town hall meeting where stakeholders came up with suggestions on how to improve the system.

The Oyo State Governor Press Secretary, explained, that one of the suggestions agreed upon was that the leadership of the Parks Management System should have members from all the factions in the Transport Unions in the State, to ensure peace in the state, which the constitution of the new team reflected.
Sulaimon listed other members of the parks management team to include Alhaji Tajudeen Jimoh as the Deputy Chairman; Kamardeen Idowu as the Treasurer; Tirimisiyu Olowoposi as Financial Secretary; Abass Amolese as the Organising Secretary and Alhaji Hamidu Mustapha as the Auditor.
Others are Alhaji Abideen Ejiogbe as the First Vice Chairman; Ganiyu Mojeedas the First Trustee; Alhaji Musa Alubankudi as the Second Trustee, Alhaji Rahman Akinsola Tokyo as the Second Auditor; and Alhaji Wasiu Emiola as the Public Relations Officer.

Speaking after the announcement, the new Parks Management System, PMS, Chairman, Alhaji Tomiwa Omolewa, said “he would work towards ensuring peace across the State”.
In his words, “he thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for counting him worthy of the position. He used the opportunity to assured the people of Oyo State and the government that there will be a difference in their attitude to work”.
“He also promised that the people will notice a significant difference in our operations as they assumes office”.
