Allaying fears of any witch-hunt during the exercise, the Director, University Education, Federal Ministry of Education (FME) Abuja, said “we are not here to spite or ridicule anybody, but to do our job, and to make it easier for you to carry out your work, because what you have been looking for quite sometimes is now here”.

On the schedule of jobs to be done by the team, the Director of University Education at the FME in Abuja said: “whatever we are doing today, is just an exercise for documentation to show that this institution was upgraded, and this is what we met on ground, and here are the gaps to be filled, so that they can fulfil that engagement to the next level they are supposed to be”.

“We all know that as College of Education, it is not the same thing like a University, it is not, if it is, there would not be a need for an upgrade, I believe that at the end of the day, everybody would be happy’’.

“We are not here to screen anybody out, the screening will come later,  but what we need to do is to see what is on ground, so that we can know where the gaps are for better take-off of the university” she remarked.

Responding, the Provost of the College, Dr. Samuel Akintunde, expressed confidence in the ability of the team to carry out the assignment given to them. He assured them of support and prayed that the Almighty God, would grant them success at the end of the exercise.
