Catholic Priest Abandons Priesthood, Becomes Native Doctor

In a shocking move, a former Catholic priest, Dr. Echezona Augustine Obiagbaosogu, has resigned to abandon his priesthood position to pursue a new calling as a native doctor with a specialty in rain making.

Obiagbaosogu, who served the Catholic Church for 17 years, revealed that his increasing fascination with traditional African spirituality and rain making art led him to abandon his priesthood. 

He emphasized that he is not turning his back on God but rather embracing the divine in a more meaningful and authentic way. “I have come to realize that my true calling is to serve my people through the ancient traditions of our ancestors,” Obiagbaosogu explained.

The former priest also shared his thoughts on the relationship between magic, religion, and science, noting that civilizations began with magic, transitioned to religion, and now emphasize science.

He argued that science is essentially what was once considered magic, citing the example of Western societies codifying magical laws and renaming them science.

When asked about his decision to leave the priesthood, Obiagbaosogu said it was a matter of personal conviction, adding that understanding oneself and remaining open to reality are crucial in making life decisions.
