An observation by the Treasure Newspaper round Akure, the Ondo State Capital Metropolis on Monday has revealed an impressive compliance to the closure order issued by the Deji Of Akure, Oba (Dr.) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II to observe the annual ‘Aheregbe’ festival.
Treasure Newspaper observation reveals further that Akure residents fully complied with the order of the Deji of Akure Kingdom despite earlier conflicting media reports in circulation on Sunday afternoon as a result of the counter press release also issued by Oba Olugbemiga Ajimokunola Olofin Adimula, the Iralepo of Isinkan, formerly known as the Quarter Head of Isinkan and who has been at loggerheads for sometimes now with the throne of the Deji of Akure as a result of his recent upgrade to an Oba status by the Ondo State Government.
The roads, streets and markets of Akure were all deserted on Monday in full compliance to the King’s order.

Few market places where skeletal transactions were earlier observed by Treasure Newspaper were all later closed down and deserted as a result of the fears by the market people of being attacked.
