Commander 32 Artillery Brigade Decorates Promoted Officers With New Ranks

The Commander 32 Artillery Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Justin Ifeanyi has decorated five newly promoted officers, who benefitted from the recent promotion exercise, from the rank of Captain to Major.

According to the press release made available to Treasure Newspaper on Thursday morning, the Assistant Director, Army Public Relations for the 32 Artillery Brigade, Major Njoka Irabor, said

the decoration ceremony was conducted on 16 September 2025, at Owena Cantonment Officers’ Mess Akure.

Speaking during the historic decoration ceremony, Brigadier General Ifeanyi appreciated the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, for finding the officers worthy to be promoted to the rank of Majors in the Nigerian Army. 

He further admonished the newly promoted officers to be models to their subordinates by being hardworking, loyal and steadfast in the discharge of all assigned tasks.

The newly promoted officers, who were decorated with their new badge of ranks are; Major TS Ogunlade, Major MM Gedu, Major EO Okakah, Major RD Yusuph and Major OP Okolie.

Delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of the promoted senior officers, Major Toyin Ogunlade expressed his profound gratitude to the COAS, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, for the elevation and promised to carry out all responsibilities that comes with their new ranks with renewed vigour and utmost professionalism.

Dignitaries that graced the decoration ceremony include; the Speaker Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Olamide Olajide, the Vice Chairman Ondo West LGA, Hon Oluwole Bashiru, family members, friends and well-wishers of the newly promoted officers.
