Council Chair Lauds Residents’ Compliance With First Sanitation Exercise In 2025

The Chairman of Ikere West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Honourable Rufus Olorunfemi has commended residents for their improved compliance with the first environmental sanitation exercise of 2025, usually held on last Saturday of every month.

In an interview with the Chairman he expressed satisfaction with the level of compliance by his people, noting that they are responding better than before. He revealed that efforts were made to restrict movement of trucks and lorries.

Regarding residents’ participation, the Chairman acknowledge that compliance was not optimal, but enforcement efforts by security agencies and environmental officers,encouraged residents to clean their environments.

In his message to the people of Ikere-Ekiti, the Chairman emphasized the importance of cleanliness, urging residents to take pride in maintaining a clean environment.

He encouraged everyone to work together to ensure a healthier and more sustainable community.
