The Centre for Transparency Advocacy, CTA, has applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, ahead of the Ondo State Governorship Election scheduled for Saturday, the 16th of November, 2024 in preparation towards the Ondo poll just as he inspected the sensitive materials at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN headquarters located at the Alagbaka area of Akure, the Ondo State Capital on Tuesday.
Speaking with journalists after the inspection of the sensitive materials by the election stakeholders in Ondo State at the headquarters of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, the Executive Director of the Centre for Transparency and Advocacy, CTA, Ms Faith Nwadishi commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for being on top of the situation to time.
Giving her experience on the spot assessment of the situation, Nwadishi explained how she monitored the election sensitive materials from the Akure airport when they arrived the State on Monday, hailing the INEC for ensuring the materials are well labeled local government by local government, expressing the hope that when the distribution finally begins on Thursday at the CBN, the issues relating to logistics would have been successfully addressed by the Country’s electoral umpire.
She expressed her satisfaction on the ballot papers after inspecting them at the CBN headquarters in Akure, the Ondo State Capital on Wednesday. “I saw the ballot papers. I saw the result sheets, thereby confirming her satisfaction with the INEC’s preparation ahead of the poll”.
