Thousands of residents of Ekiti State, mostly civil servants and retired citizens early on Wednesday morning have stormed the Headquarters of the Defunct Heritage Bank in Ado Ekiti to demand a refund of their deposits from the Bank Authorities just as Fajuyi Bridge in the area of the State Capital were filled up, thereby slowing down traffic.

Some of the people interviewed called on the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and the labour leaders to as a matter of urgency intervene to enable them retrieve their deposits from the bank.
Also, some of the senior citizens who fall victim to the situation frowned at the attitude of the officials of the Bank who has refused to attend to them despite many of that they came as early as 5:30am, 6:00am, 7:00am to the bank without still not being attended to, as of the time of filing this report around 10:10am in the morning.
