The Nigerian music star, David Adeleke also known as Davido has made u-turn, apologizing to the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mr Mohammed Abba over his recent social media outburst against the Police Boss, and commending him for maintaining peace and order in the State. 

In a twit posted on his X handle account, Davido has retracted his earlier criticism of the Osun State Commissioner of Police, where he called him unprintable names. 

The artist, who is the nephew of the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, had initially blamed the Commissioner of Police for the recent bloodshed in the state.

However, after further review of the situation, Davido acknowledged that the issue is more complex than just blaming one individual.

He commends the efforts of the state security agencies, led by the Commissioner of Police, in maintaining peace and order in the state.

Davido urged the security agencies to redouble their efforts to sustain peace, particularly with the local government elections scheduled for February 22nd. 

He expressed his appreciation for the Commissioner of Police’s support for the rule of law and protection of peace in Osun State.

This development highlights Davido’s commitment to promoting peace and stability in his home state and as a prominent figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry, his voice carries significant weight, and his retraction of criticism is a welcome move towards promoting unity and understanding.
