Defamation: Dele Farotimi Granted N30 Million Bail

Lagos based Human Rights Lawyer and Activist, Barrister Dele Farotimi has been granted bail by an Ekiti State High Court in the sum of N30 million. 

In the ruling of the Ekiti State Magistrate Court on a defamation case against Barrister Dele Farotimi by Aare Afe Babalola, the Magistrate granted the defendant, Dele Farotimi bail of N30 million with one surety having a landed property in Ado Ekiti.

The Magistrate Court also banned him from granting any press interview to any media organization or engaging in any social media platforms. 

The court also ordered the seizure of his international passport and his remand in prison custody until his bail conditions are perfected for him to be released.
