The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Wole Oluyede, has rejoiced with Christians at Easter, preaching love and unity across the State and beyond, and ahead the June 20th governorship election in the State.

Oluyede also urged the people to uphold the values of love, unity, and peaceful coexistence in the State.

In an Easter message conveyed through his Special Adviser on Media, Gani Salawu, and made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti, Oluyede thanked God for the successful completion of the 40-day fasting and prayer period.

He called on Christians to reflect the teachings of Jesus Christ, particularly the virtues of love, sacrifice, and compassion, emphasizing the need to live in harmony with one another regardless of differences.

The PDP candidate stressed the importance of unity among Christians and encouraged them to extend the same spirit of togetherness to people of other faiths for the progress of the society.

“It is my sincere appeal that you continue to pray for a peaceful election and a smooth transition,” he said.

The internationally trained medical consultant further described all citizens as one family, calling for collective responsibility in building a better Ekiti.

He used the opportunity to seek the support of the electorate, assuring them that his administration would implement people-oriented programmes capable of transforming the state and improving the lives of its residents.
