Easter Security: Ekiti NSCDC Deploys 1,000 Personnel

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Command has deployed 1,000 officers to strategic locations across the state to ensure a safe and secure easter celebrations.

According to the State Commandant, Mr. Toma Matthew Enya, the deployment aims to maintain water-tight security and protection of critical national assets and infrastructures.

According to the press statement released by PRO of Ekiti NSCDC, SC Afolabi Tolulope, the Commandant assured the people of Ekiti with a safe and secured security measures which includes the deployment of 1,000 officers deployed to places of worship, relaxation centers, and identified black spots. 

Also, Tactical Units like the Counter Terrorism Units, Armed Squad Unit, and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives Unit has been deployed to prevent crime and criminalities.

Commandant Toma also stated the readiness of the NSCDC working with other security agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment.

Ekiti State Commandant, Mr. Toma Matthew Enya, assured residents of adequate security and prompt response to distress calls during the Easter festivities. 

He urged residents to go about their daily activities without fear and warned that any persons or groups causing disharmony or breach of peace would face the full wrath of the law.
