Subomi and Wahab Okoya were invited for interrogation following a viral video which appears to show them mishandling the currency during a video shoot. However, after investigating the matter, the EFCC found no evidence to support the allegations.
Many Nigerians have come to the defense of the Okoya brothers, arguing that displaying wealth is a common practice in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Others praise the Okoya family’s contributions to the country’s manufacturing sector and job creation.
The Okoya industrial dynasty has been a major player in the Nigerian business landscape for over 60 years, improving the value chain and enhancing the standard of living for families across the continent.
With the EFCC’s clearance, the Okoya brothers have been freed of any wrongdoing, bringing an end to the controversy surrounding the viral video.
