Three suspects involved in stealing and robbery have been apprehended at different locations in Ekiti State recently by the State Command of the Amotekun Corps.

Exposing the suspects, the Amotekun Officer in charge of the media, Mr Adeleye Abiodun, revealed that on Monday, 2nd September 2024, the Amotekun Operatives in ljero Local Government Command appqrehended a 30-year-old man named Mr. Adebayo Damilola who is a residence of Ikoro-Ekiti.
Information revealed that, the suspect invaded the farmland of Mr. Olaniyi Oladele and stole some of his farm produce such as tubers of yam and pieces of maize.
The suspect, together with the exhibit has been handed over to ljero Police Division for further profiling.
In another development, another man was arrested for robbery on Wednesday, 4th September, 2024, after the Amotekun Operatives of Oye Local Government Command apprehended a 26-year-old Efoghae Friday who hails from Edo State and resides in Ado-Ekiti.

Information unfolded that, the suspect came under the pretence to beg for money from Mrs. Tiamiyu Tosin, a road-side petty trader at Fajuyi where she was finding change for her customer and stole her money (N30,000).
Moreso, the suspect was reported to have been harassing people, especially the passers-by and motorists whenever they don’t give him money.
However, it was revealed that the victim was bitten by the suspect on her chest near the breast while he (the suspect) was being taken down to the police station on a bike, before our Operatives were later alerted on the road.

He has therefore been transferred to the police RRS for further investigation.
Also, on same day, a man, Babatunde Moses, 31 years old was equally nabbed for stealing and threat to life before he was arrested by the Amotekun Operatives of Oye Local Government Command.
According to the Amotekun Officer, Adeleye Abiodun, revealed that the suspect encroached on a farmland belonging to one Adeleye Emmanuel at Ayegbaju Ekiti, stealing some farm produce, which upon opened turned out to be nutmegs.

Information also had it that the suspect, Babatunde Moses threatened the farm owner and his son with a locally – made pistol loaded with bullets.
Upon his arrest, Babatunde Moses was handed over to the Police RRS in Ado Ekiti, with the locally made pistol recovered from him for further investigation.
