Ekiti Amotekun Arrests Rape Suspect

The Ekiti State Amotekun Corps has arrested a 21 years old Ahmed Abdulai, an indegene and resident of Odo-Oro street in Are-Ekiti for attempting to commit rape.

The suspect was arrested by the Amotekun Operatives of lfedara LCDA outpost in lrepodun/lfelodun local government on Tuesday 9th September, 2025 during a patrol around 10:00 a.m.

According to the report by the arresting officers, the suspect allegedly lured a 13 years old girl to the bush with the plan of sexually forcing himself on her. 

His plan could not succeed upon the arrival of the officers who flashed torch light on him, while making an attempt to rape her. He was also reported to have fled in this process.

During an interrogation with the victim, she explained her ordeal of not been the first time the suspect have been having intercourse with her. 

She stated that ”same suspect has had sexual intercourse with her sometime ago”. 

The suspect however denied having intercourse with the victim. 

The suspect has been handed over to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Ekiti State Police Command for further investigation and necessary action.
