Ekiti Amotekun Parades Suspected Herbalist, Cable Vandals, Drug Offenders

The Ekiti State Amotekun Corps Command has paraded nineteen (19) suspected cable vandals, a self acclaimed herbalist and drug offenders in its office in Ado Ekiti.

The Corps Commander of the organisation, Brig.Gen. Joe Komolafe (rtd), while briefing press during the suspects’ parade, said they were arrested at oke Ila and Atikankan areas of Ado Ekiti after months of surveillance by the command.

Narrating the arrest, Komolafe said one of the suspects, Idowu Sodiq, popularly known as Awojinginni resisted arrest thereby inflicting injuries on some Officers of the command adding that the suspects will be profiled and handed over to the police and other relevant security agencies for prosecution.

Komolafe who berated the involvement of young people in criminal activities, charged members of the public to always speak out anytime they notice any criminal acts or strange movements in their environment.

Some of the paraded suspects were arrested at Atikankan area on drug related offences, receiving of stolen goods, burglary and stealing of the electricity cables.
