Ekiti Celebrates Chief Adijat Bimbo Yusuf, Retires After 35 Years

Ekiti State government officials, labour leaders, and dignitaries has gathered to celebrate the retirement of Chief (Mrs.) Adijat Bimbo Yusuf, who served as the Director of Information and Civic Orientation at Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government.

Her remarkable 35 years career was marked by dedication, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.

The Executive Chairman of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Ogunleye, and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Ekiti State Chairman, Comrade (Pharm.) Kolapo Olatunde, were among those who praised Mrs. Yusuf’s outstanding service. Comrade Olatunde described her as a diligent and loyal officer, citing her commitment to excellence as a shining example of what public service should be.

The retirement ceremony was followed by a thanksgiving service at Christ Miracle Church Ministry (CMCM), where Pastor Kolawole Afolayan advised the celebrant to continue her legacy of service. In her appreciation speech, Chief (Mrs.) Adijat Bimbo Yusuf urged Local Government staff to uphold professionalism and embrace opportunities for self-improvement.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Otunba Kayode Ajibola, Deaconess Abike Fadimu, and Chief Olu Oree, among others. Gifts were presented to the celebrant by various groups, including information officers from local governments, the Department of Information and Civic Orientation, and CMCM Church.
