Ekiti Chief Judge Pardons 25 Inmates

News filtering in from the Ado Ekiti prison facility of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Ekiti State Command has revealed that the Ekiti State Acting Chief Judge, Honourable Justice Lekan Ogunmoye has pardoned 25 inmates unconditionally.

According to Public Relations Officer for the Ekiti State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Mr Babalola Foluso, SC, explained to Treasure Newspaper that out of the 25 granted pardon, 12 inmates released; 9 were granted bail unconditionally while 4 were also released on the advice of the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, Barrister Ajibare Julius.

The Comptroller of Ekiti State Command of the Nigerian Prison, Mr Tolorunshagba Femi Emmanuel while speaking, appreciated the Chief Judge of the State, Honourable Justice Ogunmoye Lekan and his team and looked forward to another visit from him soon.

The 12 inmates were full of gratitude to the Chief Judge of Ekiti State and the Nigerian Correctional Service officials in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, seen that they have been set free.
