Ekiti Clerics Raises Hope Of Citizens At 2026 Crossover

Clergymen across various churches in Ado Ekiti have declared 2026 as a year of new beginnings, raising hopes of the citizens and assuring them of speedy breakthroughs and divine favour, and calling on Nigerians to love one another sincerely and serve God in faith and spirit.

The prophecies and admonitions were delivered during crossover services held at Jerusalem Church of the Lord International, Agape Christian Assembly, Shalom, Jesus Cathedral Basiri and the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Speaking at Agape Christian ministries Inc., the Regional Coordinating Pastor, Pastor James Babasola Folorunso, who also serves as Special Assistant and Director, Bureau of Procurement to Ekiti State Governor, described 2025 as a year of testimonies for Ekiti State. 

He attributed the progress recorded to massive infrastructural development under Governor Biodun Oyebanji, adding that God’s prophecies concerning Agape, Ekiti and Nigeria were fulfilled, with testimonies from individuals and noticeable reduction in food prices.

Looking ahead, Pastor Folorunso declared that 2026 would usher in exceptional advancement for the church, Ekiti State and the nation, stressing the importance of prayers, praises and thanksgiving.

Similarly, the Pastor in charge of Shalom Baptist Church, Ilawe road, reflected on God’s manifestations in the lives of individuals in 2025 and assured congregants that 2026 would witness greater works beyond human comprehension. 

He urged Nigerians to draw closer to Christ.

In her message, Primate Babayemi of Jerusalem Church of the Lord International charged Nigerians to embrace genuine love for peaceful coexistence, economic growth and national development. 

She noted that the absence of love was responsible for many of the nation’s challenges, urging Ekiti residents to remain prayerful, uphold peace and allow God to perfect His work.

Also speaking, Pastor (Dr) John Idowu of Jesus Cathedral, Basiri, described 2026 as a year loaded with supernatural breakthroughs and divine favour for those who diligently serve God. 

He encouraged Nigerians to cast away fear and come into the “ark of God” for safety and blessings.

The crossover services were marked by jubilation as worshippers welcomed the new year with songs of thanksgiving, praises and expressions of goodwill.
