Some residents of Iloro Ekiti, in Ijero Local Government have commended the Nigeria Police Force for the arrest of a suspected notorious criminal, known as Babatunde Babade a.k.a BB over his alleged involvement in the harassment of innocent citizens.

Some concerned citizens of the community had earlier petitioned the Police headquarters alleging that some suspected thugs have been attacking, terrorizing and threatening the lives and properties of the people as well as intimidating the peace loving people of the Community.

Some of the names listed in the petition includes one Babatunde Babade (a.k.a BB), Babajide Johnson (a.k.a Atawewe), Arowolo Peter (a.k.a Okiti), Toyin Aafin Ogedengbe Jimoh (a.k.a Gbakouloju), Ayo Eda O Worry Apalowo and Kuye Matthew Afelebe.

The Petition may have necessitated the arrest of one Babtunde Babade a.k.a BB, a situation that excites members of the Community who showered encomium on the Police for doing a great job.

Some of the residents who spoke with newsmen said they could now sleep with their two eye closed adding that since his arrest, peace had returned to the Community.

They however appealed to the Police not to release the suspect despite the attempt by some influential persons to get him out. Notable among them are his godfather, a popular Ekiti politician who hails from Iloro Ekiti neighboring community and a Traditional Ruler among others.

The same set of people were allegedly fingered in his release after being arrested months back in Ondo State over his possession of Cannabis.
