Ekiti Deputy Governor Loses Mother, Olori Esther Adegboye At 97

The Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, has announced the passing away of her mother, Olori Esther Iyalaje Adegboye.

According to a statement released by the Deputy Governor, Olori Adegboye died at the early hours of Tuesday after a protracted illness. She was 97 years old.

Olori Adegboye, a native of Ikere Ekiti, in Ekiti State, as revealed by her daughter, the Ekiti State Deputy Governor, said her late mother was a caring and resourceful community leader who played a significant role in community development and fostering unity in Ikere Ekiti, and her contributions will be fondly remembered by the community and the Akayejo Royal Dynasty.

Olori Adegboye is survived by extended family members, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Burial arrangements will be announced later. The Deputy Governor has prayed for God to grant her mother eternal rest and sustain the family she left behind.
