Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Mrs Monisade Afuye has described the State  Assembly election as one that will engender a fresh blood in the governance and usher a legislative body that will harmoniously work with governor Biodun Oyebanji in taking the State to an enviable pedestal.

Mrs Afuye who cast her vote at 9.45am in the morning at ward one, unit three, Elemi Odo Hall – Akamuja at Aafin Atiba in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, said since the morning shows the day she hoped for an impressive voter turnout and peaceful elections. She added that with no negative complaints about the BVAS, everything would end well.

“The election is going-on well, and it is paramount to the government of Ekiti State because the lawmakers will work  directly with the governor of the State. And we need to have our Assembly together with my boss for the smooth running of the State. My assessment is that due to the good work of the governor, people are out in their numbers to vote. I hope APC will win”.
