Ekiti Journalists Mesmerizes FIBAN In Novelty Match

The Nigeria Union Of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti State Council on Tuesday mesmerized the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, FIBAN, in a 1-0 Novelty Match win.

The Novelty match which was part of the activities marking the anniversary of the FIBAN in Ekiti State, took place at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti, at the instance of the FIBAN leadership in the State.

Treasure Newspaper man who was on ground at the Stadium, explained how FIBAN became too weak to face the Comrade Lion Rotimi Ojomoyela led Ekiti NUJ Football Team. The NUJ Ekiti football team made several goal scoring attempts on the side of the FIBAN goal post while the FIBAN team was hardly able to respond.

The Ekiti FIBAN, according to the spectators at the stadium, were humiliated with the way Journalists in Ekiti State, ransacked their team, disorganized the FIBAN midfield and defence, and walloped them completely that no attempt to resist the defeat they terribly suffered was made.  

Also, on the side of the Ekiti NUJ team, their multi-talented star player, in person of Comrade Kayode Babatuyi, manned the goal post for the team and throughout the match, he conceded no goal but instead, displayed some superlative skills on the pitch of play which endeared the crowd at the stadium towards him the more.

Also, the NUJ Secretary, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi thanked God for the injury free match and called for more synergy between NUJ and FIBAN so as to jointly facilitate better benefits for Members of various unions.
