Ekiti Judiciary Vacates Regrettable Court Order, Sets Up Inquiry Panel

The Ekiti State Judiciary has formally vacated a controversial order made by the Ikole Ekiti Magistrate Court on January 23, 2025, citing that it does not reflect the state judiciary’s values. 

In a press release signed by Olanike Adegoke, Esq., the Chief Registrar of the Ekiti State High Court, the judiciary expresses regret over the order and assures the public of its commitment to upholding justice, fairness, and transparency.

A Panel of Inquiry has been established to investigate the matter and provide recommendations. The judiciary appreciates the public’s support and confidence, promising to maintain the highest standards of integrity and excellence in administering justice.

This development comes as the Ekiti State Government, led by Governor Biodun Oyebanji, continues to prioritize the improvement of the state’s judiciary, including the recent commissioning of an ultra-modern High Court Complex donated by Chief Wole Olanipekun.
