Ekiti: NUJ Congratulates Senator Opeyemi Bamidele’s Emergence As Senate Leader For 10th Assembly

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti Council has congratulated the Senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Micheal Opeyemi Bamidele on his emergence as the leader of the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Union also rejoiced with the state Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, the APC family and every Ekiti indigenes for having one of their own at the top echelon of the Red chamber.

The announcement of Bamidele was made by the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio at the plenary.

In a statement in Ado-Ekiti, NUJ Chairman, Comrade Rotimi Ojomoyela and the Secretary, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi said the announcement of Bamidele was received with excitement by media professionals being a friend and benefactor to the Union. 

The NUJ leaders noted that Senator Bamidele’s appointment was based on his maturity, dexterity, sincerity and loyalty to the ideology of the party.

They promised the support of the Union for the lawmaker.
