Ekiti PDP Inaugurates Presidential Campaign Council, Describes APC As Cancer

Ahead of the 2023 general election, the immediate past Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in South West region, Dr. Eddy Olafeso has charged the members of the party in Ekiti State to create room for peace to reign. 

Olafeso gave this charge today while inaugurating the Ekiti Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council in Ado- Ekiti. 

Olafeso averred that the All Progressive Congress (APC), the party he described as “ Cancer” can only be defeated through peace and unity.

“I want to use this opportunity to appeal to all of us and sue for peace and unity. The most critical thing we need to do at this moment is to bring ourselves together to defeat the monster called APC. It is a party of cancer but with unity of purpose, it shall be defeated.”

“APC has completely ruined the country.  This year’s Christmas celebration was the worse I had ever celebrated.

“The Country has been looted and bastardized, even till now, they are still looting our Country. We are living today in this country only by the grace of God. This is the worst Christmas since my 66 years of existence on planet earth,” he said. 

Speaking during the inauguration, the Zonal Publicity Secretary of the party, High Chief Sanya Atofarati said the party is one in Ekiti, noting that the party is ready to win the State in February.

Atofarati noted that everybody in the Country is tired of the maladministration of the APC’s government.

He urged the remaining members of the party in the Social Democratic Party, SDP, to return home and join hands in restoring the lost glory of the party in the state.

Among dignitaries at the inauguration included the former Acting Governor of EKiti, Rt. Hon. Adetunji Adetunji and former Deputy Governors, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, and Dr. Tae Lawal.

Others are former Chief of Staff, Hon. Dipo Anisulowo , Senator Duro Faseyi, former SSG, Dr. Modupe Alade,  PDP Deputy Governorship candidates in 2018 and 2022, Hon. Deji Ogunsakin and Barrister Kola Kolade (SAN), Hon Kayode Adaramodu among others.
