The Ekiti State Police Command has formally announced the activities marking the 2026 National Police Day.
Making the activities public on Friday, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Abutu Sunday in a press release signed by him and made public on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Falade Adegoroye Michael, called on the general public, particularly the good people of Ekiti State, that the Command is set to commence the activities that mark the celebration of the National Police Day 2026.
The annual event, which is set to commenced on Monday 30th March to Tuesday 7th April, 2026, will feature the sanitation and cleaning within the State capital, free medical outreach at Oja Oba in front of the Ewi of Ado Ekiti Palace by 5:00 pm on Monday, 30th of March, 2026 on the first day.
On the second day, Tuesday 31st March, 2026, there will be a Walkathon/Road Walk and the take off point is that Police Headquarters at old Iyin Ekiti road in Ado Ekiti by 5:00 pm.
By Wednesday, 1st of March, 2026; on the third day, there will be a public sensitization on electoral violence, drug abuse, cultism and safe driving at the Police Officers Mess Auditorium, Okesa in Ado Ekiti by 9:00 am.

On the fourth day, Thursday March 2nd, 2026; there would be an honour for the past fallen heroes and presentation of cheques to their families at the Police Headquarters, Old Iyin Road, Ado-Ekiti by 10:00 am.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Falade revealed that the grand finale will take place on Tuesday 7th April, 2026 at Eagle Square in Abuja where a ceremonial parade and tactical displays among other activities will take place.
CP Falade urged citizens to continue to trust and partner with the Police, extending invitations to the public to join the Command and take part in the activities for the National Police Day.
