Ekiti Police Command Announces Shooting Range Exercise For Saturday (Tomorrow)

… Urges Residents Not To Panic

The Ekiti State Police Command has announced its decision to conduct a one -day shooting range exercise on Saturday, December 14th, 2024 (tomorrow), thereby urging the residents of the State not to panic during the period the exercise will last in the State. 

A statement issued by DSP Abutu Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer, said “the exercise will take place at the Quarry Site, Opposite Police Headquarters, Old Iyin Road, Ado Ekiti, between 6 am and 12 noon”.

The Police spokesman enjoined members of the public, residents, farmers and passersby in the environment not to panic as a result of the gunshot sounds during the exercise.

He warned the people to steer clear and avoid any activity within the vicinity until the exercise is over so as to avoid being hit by stray bullets or being traumatized.

DSP Sunday Abutu, stated that the Commissioner of Police, Akinwale Kunle Adeniran, has assured to the good people and residents of the state of maximum security for their lives and properties and implored everyone to cooperate with the Police and be law abiding.
